Did you know that October 21 – 28 is National WeissCANNON Awareness week?  It’s true!  Guts and Glory Tennis is celebrating by offering a FREE set of WeissCANNON string for any customer placing an order of any type through our online store.  To claim your free set just write “WeissCANNON Awareness Week” in the comments section of your order form and indicate which string, gauge and color you would like to test.  It needs to be one you have not tried before.  (We can check our records for verification).  When filling your order we will add your free set for no additional charge.  It’s that easy.

The WeissCANNON line of strings is solid, technologically advanced and unique from the polys to the synthetics.   Some offerings are better known than others and our goal is to get some of the lesser known offerings into the hands of knowledgeable tennis players.  We want you to experience the breadth of strings so that you can see for yourself why the line is so respected and why each string has a dedicated and loyal group of followers.

Our local customers are invited to try any WeissCANNON string for FREE.  We will install it in your racquet for our regular installation fee.  You will not be charged for the string.  That’s a steal of deal.  No Groupon receipt necessary, just show up during awareness week and we will get you taken care of.

For your convenience here is a Cliff Notes style summary of the WeissCANNON line of strings.

Silverstring – Available in 17ga and 17Lga.  This is the flagship string in the WeissCANNON line.  Solid performance in virtually all areas.

Black5Edge – Available in 17ga only.  This string is best described as a close relative to Silverstring that has been extruded with a pentagonal profile.  The pentagonal profile is optimal for spin production.  This string delivers solid all-around performance with excellent spin.

Scorpion – Available in 17L, 16L and 15L.  Another terrific all-around performance string.  The Scorpion offers slightly more pep and power than the other polys in the lineup making it a favorite of many tournament playing juniors.

Mosquito Bite – The colorfully named and colorful poly that remains a hidden gem.  This string is the thinnest in the WeissCANNON stable coming in at a svelte 1.16mm and is available in black, white, red and aqua blue. Works well as a full setup and is dynamite as a cross string with any of the other polys in the WC lineup.

TurboTwist – Available in 17 and 17L gauges.  Talk about unique…while technically a poly, this string delivers the feel, comfort and power of synthetics with all of the control and spin of a poly.  If you have not previously tried it, the timing could not get much better.

Explosiv! – A premium high thread count multifilament string that holds playing properties remarkably well while offering great feel with controllable power.  This string feels and performs with fierce awesomeness in midplus and oversize frames.

6StarString Supercharged – Available in Purple, Blue and Natural, this is the best kept secret in the WeissCANNON line. The construction is unique.  A multifilament that contains some strands of polyester.  The result is a remarkably comfortable, crisp playing multi that offers extremely access to spin…much more than the majority of multis in the marketplace.  It’s a truly special string and we hope some of our readers will give it a test while it will cost you nothing.  You will not be disappointed.
