L-TEC Premium strings were founded in 2011.  The strings and accompanying stringing system are the culmination of over 20 years of research, string design and development by John Elliot.  Mr. Elliot, sometimes referred to as the “Father of Polyester Strings,” has more than 20 years experience in creating and manufacturing top quality monofilament co-polymer and polyester tennis strings. He has been instrumental in developing some of the most successful and well-known racquet strings in the market today.  His refusal to be bound by conventional thinking has allowed him to become one of the great innovators in the world of tennis strings and stringing technology.  His animated passion and creative approach to quality stringing makes him an immensely popular seminar leader at the annual Grand Slam Stringers Symposiums.

Born in Australia, he currently resides in Paris where he works closely with top French tennis players, emphasizing junior player development.  Recent notables that have been advised and worked with Mr. Elliot include Gael Monfils, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Richard Gasquet.
